The contest was for Greek Gods. Originally I was going to draw Oceanus, who is the world ocean, and many parallels have been drawn about the ocean "belt" Oceanus represents and the milky way. So I combined those ideas and the primordial concept that the universe was created from god's semen. This idea was too explicit for deviantArt, so I went with this guy instead ;)
I really like how he turned out, even if I wind up tweaking it a little later.
I'll post Oceanus soon, as I still believe in the concept and I don't want to censor it!
